Question
I haven't had sex yet with my new boyfriend, but he told me he was not circumcised. I'm kind of concerned that sex won't be as good as with men that are circumcised. What do you think?
The research to support whether or not circumcision effects sensitivity for the male and sexual performance is very contradictory. Circumcision for non-religious reasons is widely practiced in the United States, Muslim countries, Israel, the Philippines and South Korea. The only particular consideration that you need to have is in regard to the foreskin. When an uncircumcised penis is flaccid, the glans (head of the penis) is covered by the foreskin. It retracts when the penis is erect. Prior to becoming erect, handle the foreskin with great care as it is very sensitive. The bottom line is that sexual performance is not a function of the genitals alone. Whether or not a male partner is circumcised is not as important as whether he's a considerate lover that is open to giving and receiving sexual pleasure.
